Distinctive Unit Insignia

Description
A disc divided dancett of three peaks, blue and silver; across the lower part a blue scroll bearing the motto ADULESCENS DELIGITUS in silver.  The overall dimension is 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The silver peaks represent the Rocky Mountains and the three states of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, from which the Reception Center receives Selective Service Men.  The motto translates to Youth Is Selected.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 24 February 1942.
